Trypophobia is a proposed phobia (intense, irrational fear, or anxiety) of irregular patterns or clusters of small holes or bumps.

I have experienced this (trypophobia) my entire life, and can give specific examples going back to when I was about 7 years old. It is highly irrational and can be triggered by the most mundane objects and patterns. It also sets me up with very invasive thoughts that make it hard for me to work or socialize once I've been triggered.
What trypophobia manifests is that forms and shapes are not a neutral entity, they elicit a constant judgment of reality. We consciously experience just a fraction of what operates beyond the surface.
